Membership Application

TRIANGLE RECREATION CAMP (TRC) is a membership organization dedicated to preserving and administrating a wilderness campground for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual and queer (LGBTQ) adults. Under the Bylaws of the Organization, the Board of Directors is granted the authority to regulate the campground and to establish membership dues and fees. TRC is a non-profit corporation, with all dues and fees being used to maintain and improve the campground for the mutual benefit of its members.

Qualifications for Membership

Admission to TRC is limited to LGBTQ individuals over the age of 21 years, except where the TRC Board of Directors specifically allows an exemption. In order to qualify for membership, all applicants must do the following: maintain a current mailing address; provide current, valid, government-issued picture identification at the time of application; fully complete and sign the application form; pay appropriate fees; agree to abide by the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and any other Rules and Regulations adopted by the Board of Directors. The Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws and Rules and Regulations are on file with the organization and copies will be provided to the applicant upon request. 

Memberships and the attendant rights of membership are not transferable. There shall be no refund of any dues paid upon termination of membership for any reason. Persons with expired membership must be in good standing in order to have their membership renewed (i.e. no TRC related debts, no NSF checks and no unresolved offences against TRC).

Waiver

I acknowledge that if my membership application is accepted, I will have the right to use property and facilities owned by TRC. However, my rights as a member are subject to the general rights of ownership which TRC reserves for itself and all of its members. Among the reserved rights are the rights of ingress and egress over any property which I may, from time to time, be occupying.

I also acknowledge that the use of TRC facilities, parking my vehicle on TRC property, and activities associated with membership in TRC may involve risks of damage to my person or property. I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TRC, its officers, board of directors and members, from any claim, suit or or liability of any kind stemming from this application or my membership in TRC, including any claims arising out of negligence. I also release TRC from any liability to me based on my membership. Any liability of TRC for damages, whether direct, indirect or consequential, stemming from my membership shall be limited to a refund of my membership fee.

I certify that I am a LGBTQ individual, or am I person who is permitted because of a Board of Directors’ exemption, and I am at least 21 years of age. I agree to abide by the Standing Rules and Regulations for TRC. I have read the foregoing Waiver and agree to the terms therein.
